Material options
Depending on the fiber material used for production, its respective properties are transferred to the finished product. Consequently, product solutions can be perfectly tailored to the intended future application.
An overview of the typical properties of our fiber can be found below:
Aramid fibers
- Extremely stiff and strong
- Shock absorbing and impact resistant
- Hard wearing and wear resistant
- Temperature resistant and inert to most chemicals
(E-)glass fibers
- Excellent mechanical, thermal and dielectric (non-conductive) properties
- Non-combustible and temperature resistant
- Inert to most chemicals
- Resistant to weathering
Carbon fibers
- Extremely stiff and pressure resistant
- Excellent fatigue strength at dynamic load exposure
- Low thermal expansion (negative expansion coefficient)
- UV light resistant
- Low weight = ideal for lightweight constructions
Polypropylene (PP) fibers
- Extremely resistant against fatigue
- Especially strong, stiff and hard
- Low thermal conductivity
- Very low density of 0.91 g/cm3 (lower than that of water) allows the production of lightweight woven fabrics
- Hydrophobic
- Resistant to non-oxidizing acids, alkalis and many organic solvents
High-strength polyester (PES) fibers
- Extremely strong
- Low elongation for a synthetic yarn
- Available with low heat shrinkage
Polyamide (PA) fibers
- Elastic and expandable
- Tear and scrub resistant
- Recyclable
- Dimensionally stable
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibers
- Highly temperature resistant (constant temperatures up to 240 °C possible)
- Resistant to solvents, acids and alkalis
Hybrid yarn
made from glass/polypropylene (PP) or glass/polyester (PES)
- Can be used to make composites without the addition of resin
- Temperature resistance and processing temperature can be controlled via the synthetic yarn

In consultation with our customers, the products can be individually enhanced with further properties through various modifications during the manufacturing process.
