Sewer rehabilitation

Whether installed directly in the structure or retrofitted via pipe lining during renovation, Vitrulan technical fabrics and composites give sewers the necessary reinforcement to withstand the forces they are subjected to on a daily basis.

High force absorption

Every day, sewers are subjected to strong mechanical forces that impact on the entire structure. For this reason, care should be taken to ensure the correct and, above all, sufficient reinforcement either already when placing it in the ground or during rehabilitation.

Vitrulan multiaxial non-crimp fabrics, NCF/fleece combinations or NCF/mat combinations can be tailored to the forces they will later be subjected to by aligning the fibers correctly. Fiber orientation parallel to the load direction ensures they can withstand very high forces and dissipate these evenly into the structure without any negative effects.

Perfect flatness

Pipe relining is a technology used for the long-term and sustainable repair of damaged sewer sections. This involves a multilayer textile hose impregnated with resin, called a pipe liner or inliner, being pulled into the sewer in question and then inflated with compressed air. This allows the hose to adapt perfectly to the outer pipe and cure within a few hours.

Vitrulan multiaxial non-crimp fabrics are suitable as a middle layer between the textile layers. Besides the reinforcing effect, these layers are also smooth, which prevents the formation of wrinkles or distortions that can lead to cracking during downstream processing.

In addition, a technical fabric can also be inserted to reinforce the protective film of the pipe liner.
