The Fast Way to a Smooth Wall

You want a smooth wall, but the existing substrate is anything but perfect. With SYSTEXX Active Reno Smooth PG AQ, Vitrulan is now introducing a new renovation nonwoven that quickly and cleanly transforms existing wall surfaces into smooth finishes. The glass nonwoven conceals unevenness in the substrate and eliminates the need for time-consuming, full-surface filling and sanding in many renovation situations.

With this product, Vitrulan addresses a question that arises time and again in renovation practice: How can a textured or slightly uneven existing wall be quickly transformed back into a smooth wall without first having to fill and sand the entire surface?

The adhesive coating on the back - developed specifically for SYSTEXX Active Reno Smooth PG AQ - conceals unevenness up to about 1 mm and creates a smooth, texture-free surface. This is particularly useful for existing glass-fiber wallcoverings: The load-bearing substrate is primed and then directly covered with Reno Smooth. There is no need for time-consuming full-surface filling and subsequent sanding. This reduces the number of steps, minimizes dust and dirt, and significantly shortens the entire renovation process.

The installation process is also designed to save time. Thanks to Aqua Technology, the adhesive is already applied to the back of the glass fiber mesh at the factory and simply needs to be activated with water. No separate application of adhesive is required. The soft and flexible glass fiber mesh is easy to cut and install and can be painted immediately after wallpapering.

This makes Reno Smooth particularly suitable for renovation projects where work needs to be completed quickly and downtime kept to a minimum - for example, in offices, hotels, or public buildings. At the same time, it creates a robust wall surface: The glass fiber mesh achieves the high mechanical resistance of other SYSTEXX glass fiber meshes and offers significantly greater durability compared to traditional spackled surfaces.

The material also offers key properties for demanding commercial applications: SYSTEXX Active Reno Smooth PG AQ - when used with appropriate coating systems - is abrasion- and scuff-resistant, water-vapor-permeable, and resistant to disinfectants and cleaning agents.

SYSTEXX Active Reno Smooth PG AQ is available in a width of 1 meter and in rolls of 50 meters.
