STITCHBONDED MATS

Stitchbonded mats are composed of chopped fibers that are stitched together with a thermoplastic yarn. No chemical binder is used, which improves the curing time and mechanical properties of the laminate in which it is used.

Stitchbonded mats are highly versatile glass fiber mats that demonstrate excellent drapability. This enables the production of very thick reinforcement layers in just one pass, thus saving costs and increasing efficiency during manufacture.

They are typically used in hand lay-up molding and compression molding.
