Service-Center FC Bayern, Munich/DE

Service-Center FC Bayern München

For years now, the FC Bayern München (Bavarian soccer club of Munich) has been relying on the durable wall covering that is woven from glass yarns. The soccer club had already been using glass fabric for their earlier business office (e.g., at the fan shop or in the offices of management and the presidium). It was decided to use SYSTEXX Active L65 for the Service Center for an individual customer design showing the club’s coat of arms.

Initial situation: Combination of durability and corporate design desired

The Service Center of the FC Bayern München has many visitors. Tickets and fan articles can be purchased on the lower floors. Marketing, merchandising and the presidium are housed on the upper level. In addition to all this, a medical practice also occupies the three floors. The physical stress on the wall coverings is high. The Fan Shop is frequently redecorated. And on peak days, up to 10,000 fans visit the business offices to purchase tickets and fan articles. “In addition to ruggedness, the new wall covering is supposed to implement the high-quality, sophisticated atmosphere that the club is striving for,” explains architect Tom Ferster from Wolfratshausen. SYSTEXX by Vitrulan was used over an area of 20,000 square meters.

Solution: SYSTEXX Active Logo L65

The desire to combine durability with aesthetics is fulfilled by SYSTEXX Active L65. The emblem of the FC Bayern Club is woven into the wall covering. The Jacquard weaving technique from the house of Vitrulan implements almost any pattern, logo or coat of arms that you want. The fabric also scores with its functional and ecological properties. Master painter/lacquerer Thomas Liebl installed the logo fabric and was enthusiastic about this job. “A valuable addition to the portfolio of a painter,” he said.

Result: Individual customer wall design with the strength of glass.

SYSTEXX Active L65 implements the corporate design of the soccer club. The FC Bavaria club’s coat of arms appears discreetly over approximately 60 cm, coming fully into its own in the generously dimensioned areas such as the stairwells, for example. The durable material also minimizes many of the signs of everyday wear and tear.
