The Kamienica Renaissance apartments have been converted from a 19th century town house. They are close to other historical buildings in the center of Wroclaw, including the round Haller town house and the former Lalka cinema. These buildings are part of Wroclaw’s history and heritage and are still regarded with nostalgia by the city’s inhabitants.

Initial situation: Extensive refurbishment and renovation of the town house

After over 100 years, the old town house in Wroclaw was in urgent need of renovation. It was redeveloped from the foundations up under the supervision of the Wroclaw monument preservation authority. The resulting unique, high-value spaces on five levels provided room for 19 apartments. Additional areas were set up for health and fitness and other facilities. Since this is a high-class project, the customer wanted a wall covering that would not only last a long time and resist knocks and rips, but would also fit in with the historic decor of the old town house.

Solution: SYSTEXX Premium 060 (now named SYSTEXX Pure Silk 060)

Because of the special way they are made, SYSTEXX glass fabrics are extremely resistant to physical wear and tear. They bridge the dents that appear in walls as a result of hard knocks and help prevent the spread of shrinkage and hairline cracks because of their high tensile strength. SYSTEXX Premium 060 (now named SYSTEXX Pure Silk 060) was used in the entrance area and staircase of the old town house. It has a particularly fine structure and produces a seamless appearance over unlimited areas. Its elegant, timeless design, combined with the historic decor, ornaments and stucco work, creates a harmonious overall impression. In addition, all SYSTEXX glass fiber wall coverings are made from natural raw materials, and are Oeko-Tex certified and free from PVC, formaldehyde and solvents. This results in a healthy, breathable indoor climate for all residents and protects the environment.

The result: The town house looks magnificent

Since SYSTEXX Premium 060 (now named SYSTEXX Pure Silk 060), like almost all SYSTEXX glass fiber wall coverings, comes with Aqua technology, it was possible to reduce the time required to hang the wall coverings by between 30% and 40%. The wall coverings have an adhesive coating on the back that just needs to be activated with water. In addition, the walls in the staircase were hung horizontally, which considerably reduced the amount of waste and the number of joins. Thanks to the special properties of SYSTEXX wall coverings, the apartment residents and the people of Wroclaw will be able to enjoy the results for a long time.
