SYSTEXX Active Logo L65 is designed for upscale projects. As the example of the Gymnich Castle shows, coats of arms, logos and emblems can be individually woven into the fabric.

Initial situation: Rooms that need renovating require stabilization and a high-quality appearance.

The imposing baroque style Gymnich Castle near Cologne is owned by a well-know singer family who expanded the property into an interesting address in the German hotel business. No easy task. The baroque living and representational rooms with their original stucco ceilings needed renovating. The guest area also had to be completely redone and many rooms and suites added. Historical monument protection, on the one hand, and safety regulations, on the other, presented restaurateurs, craftsmen and business management with huge challenges. The choice of wall covering fell on SYSTEXX by Vitrulan. More than 4000 square meters were put up in the course of the year 2005 in the hallways, guestrooms, elevators, stairwells and the bathrooms.

Solution: SYSTEXX Active Logo L65

The filigree woven structure of the design gives the wall a refined look - an effect which is used generously at the Gymnich Castle to emphasize the tasteful atmosphere of the building. An individual character is created with the Jacquard weaving technique with the coat of arms of the castle worked into the wall covering. To further accentuate the motif, master painter Jürgen Reimann used gold and silver glazes to highlight the area of the fabric showing the coat of arms. “The Gymnich logo looks different depending on the intensity of the light, the color and the perspective,” explains Jürgen Reimann. The old walls of the castle also profit from the reinforcing effect of SYSTEXX Active Logo L65. The walls are permanently stabilized.

Result: Impressive and strong

Tradition and modern corporate design was able to be united in a unique way with SYSTEXX Active Logo L65. “Rakel” technique makes the logo of the Gymnich Castle (approx. 1.20 meters high and 70 cm wide) look even more imposing. In addition, the walls are permanently protected by the fabric against tears and impacts.
